ERRACHIDIA TO MARRAKECH
Day 1
Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi dunes
Approx. driving time 2 hours
We begin the journey with a pick-up in Errachidia and drive south through the spectacular Ziz Valley, one of the largest palm groves in Morocco. Along the way we stop at panoramic viewpoints overlooking thousands of date palms and traditional villages. Continuing toward the desert, we pass through the town of Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and desert gateway atmosphere. In the afternoon we arrive in Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the landscape.
In the late afternoon you will ride a camel across the dunes while the sun sets over the sand. After reaching the camp, you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, followed by Berber music around the fire.
Overnight in a Sahara desert camp (standard or luxury).
Day 2
Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Approx. driving time 4-5 hours
After breakfast we leave the desert and travel to Rissani, a historic desert town known for its traditional market and cultural heritage.
We then continue toward the spectacular Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs reach up to 300 meters high, creating one of Morocco’s most impressive natural landscapes. In the afternoon we continue through beautiful mountain landscapes until reaching the peaceful Dades Valley.
Overnight in a hotel or riad in Dades Valley.
Day 3
Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Approx. driving time 6 hours
After breakfast, we leave the Dades Valley and travel through the beautiful Rose Valley, known for its traditional villages and locally made rose products.
We continue to Ouarzazate to visit the famous Atlas Film Studios, where many international productions have been filmed. From there, we head to Ait Ben Haddou to explore its ancient mud-brick kasbah and narrow alleys.
The journey continues across the High Atlas Mountains and through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, located 2,260 metres above sea level. Enjoy panoramic views and Berber villages before descending toward the warmer landscapes and vibrant atmosphere of Marrakech.
