Morning in Marrakech

The day begins in Marrakech. After breakfast at your riad or hotel, your driver will meet you for the journey to the Agafay Desert.

Depending on the program you choose, pick-up is usually between 9:00 and 10:00 in the morning, although sunset tours depart later in the afternoon.

After about 40 minutes to one hour, the desert scenery of Agafay begins to appear.

Arrival in the Agafay Desert

Upon arrival at the desert camp or meeting point, you will have time to relax and take in the scenery. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, very different from the energy of Marrakech.

• enjoy Moroccan tea at the camp
• relax on panoramic terraces
• take photos of the desert landscape
• walk around the surrounding hills

Camel Ride in the Desert

One of the highlights of the excursion is the camel ride through the Agafay Desert.

After meeting the camel guide, you will ride across the desert hills at a relaxed pace. The ride usually lasts 30–45 minutes, allowing you to enjoy the views and take photos while experiencing a traditional way of traveling in Morocco.

In the evening tours, the camel ride often takes place at sunset, when the light creates beautiful colors across the desert landscape.
