DESERT TOUR FROM FES TO MARRAKECH
Day 1
Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Approx. driving time 7 hours
Your private driver pick you up directly from your riad in Fes. We head south to Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Next stop: the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary macaques.
After lunch in Midelt, we drive along the breathtaking Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga.
In the afternoon, your camel caravan awaits. You’ll cross the dunes just before sunset and reach your desert camp.
Overnight in a Sahara desert camp.
Day 2
Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Approx. driving time 5 hours
Wake up early to witness a magical Sahara sunrise.
After breakfast, return by camel or 4×4 and continue to Rissani, a traditional desert market town.
We then visit the dramatic Todra Gorge, where towering red cliffs rise over 300 meters high.
By evening, we reach the scenic Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a boutique riad with mountain views.
Day 3
Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Approx. driving time 6 hours
After breakfast, we leave the Dades Valley and travel through the beautiful Rose Valley, known for its traditional villages and locally made rose products.
We continue to Ouarzazate to visit the famous Atlas Film Studios, where many international productions have been filmed. From there, we head to Ait Ben Haddou to explore its ancient mud-brick kasbah and narrow alleys.
The journey continues across the High Atlas Mountains and through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, located 2,260 metres above sea level. Enjoy panoramic views and Berber villages before descending toward the warmer landscapes and vibrant atmosphere of Marrakech.
