DESERT TOUR FROM FES TO MARRAKECH
Day 1
Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Approx. driving time 7 hours
Your private driver picks you up directly from your riad in Fes.
We head south to Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate.
Next stop: the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary macaques.
After lunch in Midelt, we drive along the breathtaking Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga.
In the afternoon, your camel caravan awaits. You’ll cross the dunes just before sunset and reach your desert camp.
Overnight in a Sahara desert camp.
Day 2
Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Approx. driving time 5 hours
Wake up early to witness a magical Sahara sunrise.
After breakfast, return by camel or 4×4 and continue to Rissani, a traditional desert market town.
We then visit the dramatic Todra Gorge, where towering red cliffs rise over 300 meters high.
By evening, we reach the scenic Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a boutique riad with mountain views.
Day 3
Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Approx. driving time 6 hours
We travel through the Valley of Roses and palm groves of Skoura before reaching Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital.
Then we explore the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for: Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy and Game of Thrones.
