OUARZAZATE TO ZAGORA DESERT
Day 1
Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Zagora
Approx. driving time 2-3 hours
Your journey begins with a pick-up in Ouarzazate. We drive south across the Anti-Atlas Mountains toward the town of Agdz, a small oasis settlement located at the beginning of the famous Draa Valley.
From here the road follows the Draa River, passing through one of Morocco’s most beautiful palm valleys filled with traditional mud-brick villages and ancient kasbahs.
Today is a relaxed and scenic drive through authentic southern Morocco. The Draa Valley feels like a green ribbon crossing the desert, lined with thousands of palm trees and quiet villages where life moves slowly. Along the way we stop for photos and short walks before arriving in Zagora in the afternoon. The evening is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful desert atmosphere.
Overnight in a hotel or riad in Zagora.
Day 2
Zagora – Tinfou Dunes – Desert Camp
Approx. driving time 4-5 hours
After breakfast we explore the surrounding desert landscapes and small villages near Zagora.
Today you will experience the desert more closely. We visit local communities and palm groves before heading to the dunes of Tinfou, located just outside Zagora. In the late afternoon you will ride camels into the desert while the sun sets over the dunes. The light at this time of day transforms the desert into warm shades of gold and orange.
Upon arrival at the desert camp you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by Berber music around the campfire. With almost no light pollution, the night sky here is incredibly clear and filled with stars.

Day 3
Desert Camp – Zagora – Draa Valley – Agdz – Ouarzazate
Approx. driving time 5-6 hours
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the desert dunes, a peaceful and unforgettable moment.
After breakfast at the camp we return to Zagora by camel or 4×4 and begin the journey back to Ouarzazate. The return journey offers another opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Draa Valley. The palm groves, kasbahs, and desert landscapes look different in the morning light, creating perfect photo opportunities along the way. We stop at scenic viewpoints before arriving back in Ouarzazate in the afternoon.
